Where’s the mixed message? He intends to stay here at his price. Dubas needs to put his big boy pants on and find a trading partner before July 1, ideally at the draft. He’s looking for a 3-3.5M raise. I’d rather give it to Willie and shift Mitch to centre.

I feel like in hockey you almost never see players outwardly state trade requests or their desire to walk in free agency, so we’re left to draw our own lines.
Pretty sure all O’Reilly said was “I haven’t thought much about free agency, but Toronto’s an amazing organization”, which I *guess* you can interpret as him having one foot out the door, but idk.
