Does this mean he’s more defensive minded than people tend to give him credit for? Don’t watch Toronto games, so I don’t know.

This is very interesting and good for him. I remember a discussion a few seasons ago if you want the higher wage players blocking shots in fear of injury and it was dumb. So good for him!

Why the fuck is Marner getting selke-love and not Auston?

  4. bluemountaindrew

That’s surprising. Does he play pk at all?

He sure didn’t score enough goals in playoffs … so might as well block shots 😂

that kid is tough man. no wonder he rocks that mustache

  7. bleedblue4

He also lead all forwards in not scoring in the second round

Shots that he blocked, or his shots that got blocked?

Kudos to him. I saw Wayne get one once but it was in the neutral zone and bounced off of Semenko’s head first.. Different era though and I loved them both😁

Huh. Imagine if he’d put the same effort into getting just *one* point in the second round.

And he had a career-best +/- this year.

And he has plenty of time to rest and heal, like the rest of Canada.

  13. TinyEyedTim

Apparently, he should have blocked more

He’d be in the running for Selke if he was ever on the PK. Usually leads the league in takeaways as well.
