  1. I agree with your breakdown Parker, depends what version we getting of hronek but with that said we still get beauvillier, raty, hronek and a 4th for horvat… sounds like a good deal to me that has potential to be great… and all these whiners about the first round pick being lost it’s the price ya pay for good players poor Alvin can’t win with fans no matter what he does… we need a puckin right d ok here ya go noooo not a first rounder, like cmon peeps it’s good deal and hopefully we can get more pics back with a boeser, garland or miller trade… anyways that’s my two cents…

  2. makes total sense with edvinson getting close to coming up to the lineup! and a first rounder to boot hope homer has a great career in the nhl 🤗👍

  3. That draft pick from the Islanders can help so much with the Canucks….Why take three steps back?!?…. I don't like this trade at all…. Vancouver needs to step up again to get higher draft picks….😒😡

  4. at 1st i wasn't thrilled with the Canucks giving away so much draft picks, but there really isn't a RHD in this years draft that would be able to step into their line up next season. As you all know it takes a while for defensemen to break into the league, unless they have stardom written all over them. People complained that all the trades they received were forwards, so finally we got a RHD that could step into their line up. As for Chychrun, the guy is always hurt(another Boeser). So even thought they gave away a lot, they got what they needed now, and not a few years down the road.

  5. As you said small wins got undone by one big mistake, i hate this team. WHY WOULD YOU GIVE UP A 1ST AND A 2ND?! Good dmen of hroneks caliber can be found all day in the 1st and 2nd round

  6. From a Wings Fan:
-CANNON SHOT… misses net 99% of time.
    -Good first pass
-Very Average on PP.. like very average
    -good on the rush.
    -has flashes of brilliance
-expect 1-3 horrible turnovers a game.

Overall should be sheltered but the man does produce with his great vision and passing ability. I think 2 second round picks would have been fair value

  7. Allvin WAS winning the fans over with his last 2 moves, it looked like a rebuild was happening and the fans were happy. This move shows NO direction and a disconnect with the fans and whrre the team is currently

  8. Canucks aren’t a bottom six team, bottom half, yes. Plus maybe there’s another pick on the way for Boesser, Garland etc. We don’t know the big picture.

  9. Patrick Alvin will be put into protective custody if that islanders pick goes anywhere close to the top 5 in the 24 draft, Brutal deal that has more risk than reward

  10. The 13th pick won't be NHL ready for a few years, if ever.
Petie and Hughes don't have years to WASTE.
VC fans are as confused as OLD VC mgt.
    You want a real rebuild?
You need to go full Arizona.
You need to trade Petie and Hughes and Brock and Demko.
If you keep your young core, you need to surround them with PLAYERS.
    Not dreamy draft picks.
Because you'd not only be wasting your core's prime years…
But you'll likely be losing them as future UFAs who have no desire to stick around a full Arizona rebuild.
You think the players on DRW are happy with their rebuild?
They're in a 6 team dogfight for the two wildcards…
Both of whom will go against the stacked top six eastern conference teams in round 1.
Rebuilds are not fun for players.
Double so for potentially great players.
Trade Petie Hughes Brock and Demko…
    Or stop the rebuild fantasy.

  11. Good player. Risky but I'm content if we can recover the 2nd and the 1st turns out to be late. If not I'm not happy. Would be surprised if more trades comming.

  12. We lost our scouting team to the Wild before Benning left, I am not sure how good we are right now. Like I didn't love our last draft other than DP.

  13. Short term, immediate gratification, and zero long term vision. Sums up the Canucks

  14. This means Canucks are going all in on Pettersson and Hughes. Management is putting priority on building a team around they’re two biggest stars

  15. I would have preferred to go to draft frack another 50 plus years before we get a number one overall pick the team is cursed

  16. For all the complainers here, they seem to be forgetting how hollow their D has been all year. Monumentally bad. They can’t go on another half year with a defence like they’ve had.

  17. It’s time to revamp the D cord. I honestly feel this is the only way it can be done. Developing your own defenseman takes years.

  18. if he is that good, why did Yzerman trade him… Yzerman is a much better that our GM… this is the main problem with this deal

  19. Well we can hope he has a great year next year because if he does they dont have any cap space and we can get a good pic for him

  20. You’re right… weird deal. I’ve liked Hronek for a while and he’s had a good season… but I’m pretty bummed we gave up two top 50 picks for a franchise that desperately needs to restock the prospect pool… not to mention Hroneks addition will help the Canucks down the stretch, furthering the value of their own 1st round pick… I’ll reserve judgment until after the deadline as I’m assuming there’s more to come… but why couldn’t this have waited until after the season?

  21. At this point I wonder why we even bother trading Schenn. Looks like they are going to go for the playoffs next year.

I just wonder how the cap will look in a few years with Hronek, Kuzemenko and Pettersson.

  22. Hronek looked borderline good at times only this season and only on a team that has one of the worst group of defenseman in the league. Massive overpay even for a RHD.

  23. Fans Media not going to like it. ALVIN Will be judged by next year's performance this is now their team.

  24. Canucks stilll need a top pairing guy imo , Hronek is a 2nd pairing guy right now, it's a good start to rebuild the D tho.

  25. Considering what happened to Virtanen and Juolevi high picks are a coin toss anyway and we have no RHD's.

  26. Canucks got Philip Hronek
    Anthony Beauvillier
    Vitaly Kravtsov
    Aatu Raty
    Josh Bloom
    Toronto's 23 3rd Rd pick.
    Detroit's 23-4th rd pick.
    Devil's 24-4th rd pick.

Canucks price was Horvat and this year's 2nd round pick.

Less value cost was a 26 7th rd pick, Schenn, Lockwood, Lazar and Stillman.
    Cap space was also cleared.
    Stillmans 1,350,000 till 23-24
    Lazar's 1,000,000 till 24-25

Alvin's trades have improved the team.

He's not finished making trades & buy outs are coming. When next season starts they will contend for a wild card.

Aquilini makes management do what he wants. He doesn't want a rebuild. It's why Linden resigned. Aquilini wants a retool.

Rutherford said in his first press conference he has to manage up.
So, with these conditions they are doing what Benning couldn't.
