Today would have been Rick Rypien’s 39th birthday. Always a Canuck
Today would have been Rick Rypien's 39th birthday.
We continue to honour Rick’s legacy through #HockeyTalks and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.

R.I.P., Ryp……
Man, few players in Canucks History resonated with this fanbase the was Ryp did.
Rest In Power
Oh man, this hit me in the feels.

Bourdon and Rypien are my top favourite Canucks stories, and, well, yeah. You know.

I could listen to Kevin Bieksa talk about his best friend Ripper any day of the week. He REALLY picked up Rick’s torch and made an effort to look after his family after his passing. I think, to be very honest, that Bieksa had a lot going on with himself too at the time. It was a wakeup call for many of Ripper’s friends and colleagues and peers. To us, it was a huge tragedy (so it goes) and I can still give you play-by-play, punch-by-punch narration of Ripper’s best fights.

Ripper: “the FUCK you hitting Daniel and Henrik and Mason for? time to die, no matter how tall you think you are. PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE!”

Love him.
RIP
RIP Ryp
