Solid video as always. I think you are right on point with regards to Montreal trading 1 or 3 goaltenders and given Allen's age and contract I think he would be the better of the 3 to go .

Yup, Allen must be traded this summer. If not possible, he needs a buyout. CapFriendly Buyout Calculator says it will be 4 years with not too bad cap hits to MTL of $.98M (2023-4), $2.58M (2024-5), $1.03M (2025-6), and $1.03M (2026-7).
Montembeault is now Montreal's number one goaltender. Traditionally in Montreal, #1 starts home games especially on Saturday nights, and Montembeault has been starting at home. Primeau is not an NHL goaltender. To trade Allen Montreal would need to pick up a solid backup during the off season. Dobes could be part of the future in Montreal but would need a season or two in Laval.

wondering with Dobes signing his ELC if Primeau's time in the system is limited….Monty is the real number 1 guy and Allen may go….Primeau is not a number 1 stater in the NHL.. I am betting on Monty being number 1 next year but what to do with Primeau and will Dobes be the backup in Montreal next year..time will tell… Primeau was drafted as a favor to his dad not on his skillset…

Ken Dryden said there are seemingly Good Goaltenders on bad teams because they face no pressure, no big games and no playoffs, and Good Goaltenders on good teams who face must win situations , play all the games against top teams, play must win playoff games and steal wins .

Allen is terrible! Was never a fan of this from the jump. When has he ever been good is the question. Deal him if u cant cut him loose either way they are better without him! I've been a habs fan since the 70s this years goaltending has been close to the worse I've seen!😅
I’ve always liked Allen as he’s from the same province as I am and had a very solid first year or so with the Canadiens, but it is time for him to find a new team I think. He’ll probably even play better with a competitive team backing up a star goaltender.

Montembault is not very good. His career gas is 3.50. Seeing this team doesn’t score , that means you still aren’t winning many games
