    Now obviously I'm not a professional athlete and I've never had these types of contract negotians and stuff, so I could be talking out my ass.

    But, I feel like if you're signing a new contract, with a team you have been on for years, and are determined to stay with that team, and bring a championship to that team, you would step up and say "hey, I'll take less money so we can make the team better"

    Make tweaks around the edge of the roster, but Toronto is foolish is they trade core pieces of this team. You’re going to lose a lot before you win, and seven years isn’t that long.

    Matthews and Nylander are the best choices to be traded. Tavares is old with a fat contract Marner us too soft.
