  1. Every bruins fan was think during the regular season what a genius Sweeney was for hiring Montgomery. We all now know if that was true.

  2. Good job, VGK, taking few penalties and, thus, disarming the Oilers. I think allowing just one PPG during the five minute major in game five was the turning point. That kill gave Vegas confidence. Highly entertaining series.

  3. I've never been a fan of a coach before, but there's something super genuine about Cassidy that I really dig. He's been great for the team this year.

  4. Oilers fan here – well done. I quite like this manager – he's quite magnanimous in victory. Sorry guys but if the Oilers are out I'd like to see Carolina win it, since they took Jesse off us this year, a truly likeable guy, but best of luck anyway.

  5. All in all, Vegas has only won two series, still two to go, then they can say their team is better that the two they beat. From my perspective on this series the refs sucked for both teams, but was really costly on the Oilers when Ekholm was cut by high stick, that would’ve been a double minor and possibly oilers could’ve tied the game, but, hey themes the brakes and Oilers are playing golf for a few months and it starts all over again. Good luck Vegas.

  6. Hope next year beetween oil and vegas . There a 2 hand axe slash to the back of the knee to petrengelo . Keep your head up priisy cause edmonton honna get bigger and meaner .

  7. Have to be careful about what you say about the new coach as you compare him to the old coach. I am not a fan of a coach who doesn’t coach. Who can’t talk to men when they need to be spoken to about their play. By the same token players who are coddled and who convince management that the coach has worn out his welcome, need to be careful. The Bs are the premier example now! Their players chose to push Cassidy out, and they stayed with players who did not want to be coached when their game waned. Guys who continue to be regular season players that cannot perform at playoff quality when it comes time, will always be the ?’s that B’s management will regret signing. In 2019 there was a few of these type players. Yet, instead of moving them they were signed. You fast forward to 2023 they played a big part in both the incredible season and lower than desired playoff intensity level that Cassidy’s 2023 team continues to performed at. Sweeney is not a good judge of talent, Neely fits the bill also, if they were Cassidy would still be here and the less committed players would have been shipped out and players who didn’t perform up to their potential would have not had lucrative contracts thrown at them. I hope Cassidy wins the cup, he was a class guy who got the shaft from a management group that needed a fall guy to ease the pressure that was evident after bad drafting and trades which gave away potential higher draft choices and a team built for the playoffs. 2011 cup winner, inconsistent in big games and the coach was said to be the problem. 2013 really good team that didn’t have all the tools. 2019 real good team that had everything but the intensity level to win the cup. It’s too familiar. Our potential rafter guys just won one cup and choked away the one they needed to win, with a first rd exit.

  8. Great coach. I fully believe Cassidy was the critical difference in the series. He pushed the right buttons and made the right adjustments to limit 97 and 29. 97 played at a god-like level but in the last 3 games, 97 had to work a lot harder for his chances and be a one-man show for his goals. VGK essentially shut down 29 in the last half of the series.

  9. Kings fan here thanks for sticking it to Edmonton and Darnell nurse. I’m rooting for you to get that cup. Good luck Vegas

  10. Congrats and couldn't be happier for you Butchie! Cam and Sweeney couldn't have screwed things up more for my Bruins but I'm glad you're showing them the error of their ways.
