Calvert was suspended all of one game for breaking his stick on a guy who happened to be near him when he was hit.
Absent any real action by the league, one of these days some asshole is gonna throw a hissy fit on the wrong guy and have his career ended on the spot. And it’s gonna be hilarious to watch the NHL wallow in the mess it made with its own toothless suspensions that allow pricks to run around and be pricks.
Also, when you watch the full video, you see that no Pens player steps up to challenge Calvert after this. The children on this sub have been *adamant* that fighting is So iMpOrTaNT to keep cheap shots from happening. So then why did everyone just stand around picking their arses here?

I always loved Calvert when he was in Columbus but this was easily the dumbest and most despicable thing I remember ever seeing him do. There was no defending it even as a biased fan at the time.
