Maggio is already 21 an older drafted prospect for last years draft after 5 seasons of jr. hockey – covid lost ohl season so he is at a more mature level. maggio is a more complete scorer than dufour who is basically a shooter/goal scorer. maggio can do more things-had a few highlight reel goals and a five goal game this past season. both dufour and maggio are jr. league mvp's. And both are fifth round picks and late bloomers. maggio needs to show at ahl level if his has the quickness to match his skill. Both are probably iffy to make an nhl impact if they get there. I'd say maggio has a higher ceiling. And going by the one game call-up dufour looked lost out there so more ahl seasoning is needed on top of the skating issues. As for ish. its gotta be his size that is hampering an nhl call-up. Or maybe he doesn't score enough goals for lou's liking even though lou frowns on goal scoring. I don't know much about jeffries to have a say. If two of them can pan out that that is good for isles.
