NOT GREAT: Phillies get crushed, 10-1, by the Cubs for their fifth straight loss | Phillies PGL

Not the way the Phillies wanted to kick-off their homestand. Ranger Suarez only lasted two-innings, and the Phillies bats went quiet after a sac fly in the first, leading to a 10-1 beat down courtesy of the Cubs. We have comments from Rob Thomson, Michael Barkann, Ruben Amaro Jr., and John Kruk. #Phillies

  1. Losers. Lost the fan base this quick. DD has to do something there no where near a playoff team

  2. They're done. We losing to straight trash over this losing streak. Arizona and especially Atlanta coming up yikes.

  3. The Phillies are done this season. They need to obtain actual quality pitching for next year. Time to trade bats for starting pitchers at the trade deadline. This season is over.

  4. The way this season has gone so far should serve as hard lesson for the front office. The Phillies have too many overpaid players that they're trying to get their ROI from… and for whatever reason, they're just not producing. Those big fat contracts may have gotten them the players, but those inflated salaries should not have determined on the player's past record. A performance based bonus pay structure would make a lot more sense.
