If Mitchkov is available at 5 and Management have done their homework they should be better informed than any other team.Bobrovski worked for Saint Petersburg and his father still works for them so they will know if he will come over and when .If everything is positive they can not pass him up…

Any pick is a gamble… michkov gamble is not if he's gonna be good its if he is coming over or not… I'd take the bet on mickov over another player outside of fantilli Carlson or smith

I agree that if Michkov is available you must take him , if he decides not to come when his KHL contract is up, he would still be a tradable asset if he simply didn't want to play for the Habs. Could the Habs buyout his KHL contract to free him up? Would that be allowed under the Cap situation?
There’s contradiction in this podcast…..you say you won’t take it this year,not being consistent etc,then saying u see determination and competitive play….?

I’m actually sick and tired of hearing people say “Montreal needs a superstar” WE HAVE 2!! Suzuki and Caufield they are NHL superstars both of them definitely have other levels to there game and we have Kirby Dach and Slafkovsky who both have the potential to be superstars! The type of player we need is a Franchise player! We have superstars we need a Will Smith, Michkov or Carlsson all 3 of those players are franchise players that’s the type of player we need. But this bullshit that we don’t have superstars is exactly that “Bullshit!” It’s really stupid that we just overlook Suzuki, Caufield, Dach and Slafkovsky like they don’t exist…
Goal scoring has been a problem over the past few seasons. Gotta solve that problem, need to solve the problem with size grit and overall toughness. Players like Hoffman, Drouin are dead weight no future with these players in the line up. Lets make room for young blood (inexpensive) and our future. The time is now to draft goal scorers, guys who can finish. Need to improve the power play, for that you need skill, lets draft talent and skill.
