lame. we looked sloppy but we HAD them.
NEVER use the words elite and great when referring to Otter!!! He's now 0-3 in OT and the first to crack in OT everytime. It's why they couldn't win in OT in the regular season and lead the league or were second worst in OT losses. Otter is 2-5 when allowing 3+ goals and 0-5 when allowing 4+. Something is not right with this kid and I've been saying it ALL season since he returned from injury. Whatever it was he's still not 100% no matter what the Stars say. He's not near as laterally effective as he was last season or in the first month of this season before the injury. How Otter goes so go the Stars period. The roller coaster goaltending continues.
Oettinger wasn't good enough, period.
I hope Marchment is shown that OT replay over and over, left Otter out to dry there. I'm disappointed with this loss especially with how hard the Stars fought to force that OT but I'm feeling optimistic, I think they will bounce back like they always have and tie this series up. ⭐ GO STARS! ⭐
Most of the goals were unstoppable based on the situation. Lol. Vegas played a better team game. Would have been a steal for Stars to win. Otter is just fine. On to game 2.
Crappy goals against tonight 😢
Would’ve really been nice to steal that one. I’m not quite as optimistic as you are. It’s pretty alarming that they repeatedly fail to come out and be the aggressor in a series, and they got pretty thoroughly outplayed the first half of the game. The Seguin line was invisible offensively and blew coverage on the OT goal. On the flip side, if that was Vegas on its game, the Stars can beat that. But it’s been about enough of these sleepy starts. Punch someone in the mouth.
Oh also, Suter HAS to take a penalty instead of letting Karlsson score off the end boards. Slash his stick out of his hands. Take his legs out from under him. Put him in a choke hold. Literally anything.
The pace wasn't up to Snuff they really need to get back on to what they had for game 7 against the Kraken or else we're not winning this
Robertson for being a high point scorer in the regular season has only scored 2 in the post season. They need to put more pressure on Vegas’s goaltender, also they were on their heels a lot in the game.
When is otter gonna steal one??
Man, the Stars have been starting games cold and this was no exception. Without home ice advantage they really need to steal a game in LV and this was the opportunity. VGK outplayed Dallas but they gave the Stars just enough of a chance for the upset. Truly a missed opportunity but hopefully that 1st goal gets Robo back in fine form. We need him to pot a few more. GO STARS!!

Is it just me or did the stars looks slow, lazy with the puck and lackadaisical?
Us Vegas fans arent all terrible i promise you. I have always admired Dallas on how they play and the honest game the core guys play. I will say being in the arena Dallas seemed a step behind but i think that was what to be expected. I think if you physically forecheck vegas that will be an issue for us. I liked the Deboer i think he relied a bit to much on the high flip. When you guys were on the long change it wasnt pretty. All that being said its a 50/50 series and i believe it will be a fun one.
