    Remember 2002 when Maurice and Carolina trapped the leafs and rest of the eastern conference to get tor the finals only to be crushed by the wings….this time it may be different as they are in the zone right now.. one I haven’t seen since the Canadians won 10 in a row in OT back in 92-93…

    Florida running with this "eternal underdog" narrative is the best thing they can do.
    Last year they were the "President trophy winning Florida Panthers", fearsome team that had all the pressure in the world.
    This year they barely sneak into the playoffs and very few paid attention to them.
    Even now going into the vital third game up 2-0 they still say the Hurricanes are the second best team in the league and the favorites. When a competition is 50/50 and you are already up 2-0 the opposition is no longer the favorites to win. But its much better mentally when you think that so you don't crack.

    I wonder, assuming they pull it off, if getting to the Cup final would finally bring "real" pressure on them and how they would handle it. So far, at least form the outside, it seems like they have been deflecting the pressure rather than dealing with it and it has been working. But by the time of the finals there is no avoiding it.
    Anyone saying "armchair psychology"…………..yeah guilty as charged, im not in the room :p

    At the beginning of the season i was thinking that trading Huberdeau to Tkatchuk was a bad move.
    Now, i can say that i was totally wrong.

    What a job this man has done. Even getting Florida into the playoffs was an amazing accomplishment, but all of this is just otherworldly.

    I could care less about who wins the cup at this point but I want the panthers to keep winning solely for these Interviews with Paul. Such a great coach but also a hilarious, yet weird guy. I think he'd be great on a podcast.

    Some comments are really great Then theirs comments like a certain goalie wins few games and all off a sudden we get comments like “ oh wow Brokov deserves a cup ‘ You don’t deserve a cup just because you been in NHL for awhile , You deserve a cup when you win all 16 playoff Hockey games nothing more nothing less
