Does this mean he can play for them next year?

Wasn’t there some kind of caveat that he couldn’t play in Rochester?

Since Rochester is off the table next year, can we loan him to a team in Europe? I feel this doesn’t happen very often but seems like a plausible work around.

Since CHLers have frustrating rules with the AHL and NCAA, there isn’t a great developing path for them once they’re ready to graduate from the CHL (which Savoie is).

It would be interesting to see the Sabres make an under the table deal with an European team where we kind of partner to loan players when we need to. The benefit to the Euro team is they get a highly touted prospect for a year to maybe sell more tickets. Who knows maybe with this partnership we play a preseason game there too

Liiga is an extremely defensive league, so no.

SHL tends to rarely play younger players, so no.

    KHL…. No thanks.

National League (Swiss) or DEL (Germany) could be winners. High levels of English speakers too in both leagues.

Peterka got 20 points in 30 game in his D+1 year with Munich.

Just a thought to explore to continue to develop our guys.

I’d hope he’s on the Sabres full time next season

He’ll watch from the press box, get to soak up some playoff atmosphere. If there is an injury he could have a chance to step in and contribute. At least that’s my guess.

I was just thinking about if/when this might happen over my morning coffee.

    Whoo Hoo!

Amerks have been rolling with 11 forwards most nights in the playoffs, I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes right into the lineup.
