The Pete’s will go to the memorial cup and rangers prospect othmann helped lead them there by defeating the London Knights 4 games to 2.
Othmann has been quite the player these playoffs whether it’s his physical presence, or offensive abilities. Cant wait for him to come up to the big league soon. I think he’ll be quite the player for us based off his game.

They beat out the top two teams in the league both coming from their conference and the second place team from the opposite conference. Quite the impressive run.
That was fun to watch. I’ve tried to watch as many Firebirds/Pete’s games as I could this year. I’m really looking forward to seeing how Othmann does in the NHL. I’m not really an expert on knowing if a young player has what it takes to make it in the NHL, but sort of think he could use a year in the AHL. He’s clearly one of the best players on the ice, but he doesn’t seem to be on the level as players that go straight from the CHL > NHL.
On to Kamloops!

They gave the goalie Simpson the MVP even though Othmann easily deserved it

What was with the offsetting 2 minute minors at the end?
Othman’s head was in a headlock for at least 30 seconds while London got all kinds of chances before Brennan fought back, and they were each given a deuce. Talk about bad officiating.
