Logan Mailloux Draft Ranking

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at a recent comment that was made by former Montreal Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien. His comment was directly related to Habs prospect Logan Mailloux, and his insight on where the Flyers had him ranked at the 2021 NHL Draft.

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. Where do you think he sits in the order now after a couple years? Is he better than 11-32 of the 1st round kids? Where would you pick him now if the draft were done over.

  2. He will be playing in the NHL. The talk of having Quenville or Bowman for NHL jobs after the treatment of that young player is shameful. The young Logan will have to kiss Bettman brass ring to play because he has no leverage.

  3. If for some reason you guys think about trading him, we'll take him here in Toronto, we have a tendency to like guys who get caught with their pants down. Heck we even try to make them the top players in the league.

  4. he went were he would have gone. the hockey world doesn't care about SA, they do it to all the rookies in the CHL as hazing.

  5. I don't know… he doesn't have a great skill set.
I think his value is at it's peak right now, we should trade him

  6. Two years in the minors. Let him take his time, marinate, and mature physically and mentally. He will be a monster.

  7. I remember the outcry of people bitching about drafting this kid. Big kids with his shot and skating ability is not common. And plus he’s a righty. Something Montreal Lacks. Underrated prospect imo

  8. That pick was and has always been a slam dunk. It's normal for ppl to hate on him, we've seen ppl go ape shit for less. Bergevin's last draft was honestly so fucking good, I'm still upset we didn't keep him in some form, loke a yrade specialist or something of the sort

  9. I use to live near belle river and trained an apprentice that went to high school with Mailloux. He said he was an amazing hockey player but was such a typical jock like from the movies. When all the drama went down with Mailloux, he just said that it sounded like him.

Training many apprentices fresh out of high school I realized how many of them could really use the type of training the Habs staff gave Mailloux. I really hope Mailloux continues to talk to students because the amount of students just I have ran into need such a reality check. And it isn’t just hockey players ( can’t stress that enough!!!)

Good on him for turning it around and hope he proves not only to the NHL but to everyone. And hope he can use this experience to help many of the kids that could really use his help.

  10. what he did was so stupid and minor compared to what has happened since….like after the sexual problems in Chicago how did they keep their 1st rounder..he has outdone himself with following the game plan Montreal laid out for him.and has been outstanding as a player in junior hockey

  11. considering mtl is weak on the right side! its going to be awesome. he reminds me abit of weber out there

  12. Between pornographer Logan Mailloux and serial cheap shot artist Owen Beck, what the Montreal Canadians REALLY need is a competent scouting department that puts a bit more emphasis on character .

  13. Him and Wi-Fi could make the Habs hard to play against in the future

  14. I think it's important to remember that prior to 2021 draft there wasn't much scouting done by teams

  15. Mailloux is a beauty. LOTS of people have done the same thing as he did. Even more do it to themselves and live to regret the post later. He lived, he learned. If there was social media in the 80's!!! Oh boy, I can't even imagine where I'd be now. He is not a pariah. Just another dumb teenager that did not understand the consequences of his stupid actions. Part of growing up. This harsh lesson learned at such a young age will serve him very well in the future. And, who said that the girl was innocent in all this…nobody. Maybe she was, maybe she wasn't. Still doesn't make it right though. The punishment should fit the crime. I think he has paid his dues.

  16. I'm looking forward to seeing if the Laval Rocket can become competitive this coming season. WIth Mailloux, Struble, Roy, Davidson, Dobes, Heineman, and perhaps Mesar, and Beck they could be the nucleus of a Team that can compete for the Calder Cup. Success on the farm team is typically a strong indicator of future success for the parent franchise, and winning a Championship at that development level is great for team building.

  17. i feel like im the only habs fan that doesnt think hes going to be that good. he played well this season but like i dont see his offensive talent translating to the nhl.

  18. I heard that he was a jerk, but has hanged since the incident.
    I hope so.

  19. He will stick for 10 games before being sent down will get called up and stay up

  20. It would have be interesting to see where teams would have had him if all things had been equal. His defensive game still needs quite a bit of work, but he ran the Knights PP from break out, to zone entry, and there ozone set up was centred around him. Also he made smarter decisions with the puck when transitioning to offence compared to the beginning of the year. Some time in the AHL should help iron out the wrinkles, but minimum a 3rd pairing D who helps the power play, with top 4 potential.
