If shanny has final say on any big moves then just make Brandon Pridham the GM to do the day to day operations with Shannys oversight.
I will say I think the wrong guy was fired on Friday.

TLDR: No new info. Maybe Treliving. Pridham is smart, but maybe Shanny won’t trust him to hit ground running. Doug Armstrong is interesting, but may not be interested in working for a high pressure Canadian team / the Saint Louis owner (who he is close with) may or may not let him out of his contact…..

it’s not too late to go back to dubas

TLDR: there are 0 rumblings and he’s just throwing names out there and speculating how it would go with each.

I feel like they swing for the fences and land Armstrong.

I’d like Doug Armstrong

I would love it if we got Doug Armstrong. I think Armstrong is putting his name out there through the media. First Friedman and now Lebrun. I think he wants this job and is telling Shanahan indirectly.
Even the athletic article mentions how Shanahan should go about asking permission to speak to Armstrong. lol.
make it happen Brendan. this is our guy.

Brad Treliving would be the least risky option. You have to wonder if MLSE would want to take another swing at a more inexperienced candidate (like Dubas was) to handle such a crucial period in the life-cycle of this team. I don’t hate Brad to be honest, but I’d rather have kept Dubas if that is how it plays out.

Was Dubas handcuffed when he overpaid the core 4?
Dubas truthers just won’t let it go that he failed as a GM. I could honestly make a case hes one of the worst GMs in Leaf history. He inherited the best Leafs core and did nothing with them.

New GM in the interview process:
Shrendan Banahan

Man I can’t stand Lebrun articles. I cannot think of one of his that actually has new information that I didn’t already see.

Craig Janney is being considered for the role.

One of the M&Ms for Armstrong and a slightly reduced package of players/picks?
I remember the Nordiques and Rangers trading draft picks for a coach one year.

Played hockey at the practice facility tonight. When walking out the main rinks lights were out. I heard Dubas asked for more money but is MLSE that tight or just saving a few bucks to give Shanny a bonus. F me.
