Treliving Next Leafs GM? Hhmmm, not sure if he's the one to solve the riddle there, but. I'm curious to see who else they are considering, Worry not, Senators fans, the sale will happen soon enough and, hopefully, they won't have an issue spending some cash updating things around the organization(investing in scouting resources, etc.) The Team itself is in good shape, IMHO, and should improve on last season. Coach Mike Babcock to the CBJ? I think that is an awesome idea, I like him as a coach, I've seen interviews with him, he seems like a good guy. I love the 32 thoughts podcast and I wonder if it's a realistic possibility that GM Dubas could go to Pittsburgh, who are about to go thru some changes in player personnel in the next couple of seasons. I would think he'd want more control than he had in Toronto. I do know that whoever the next Maple Leaf GM is, he will be under a LOT of pressure to get positive results right away in the playoffs, and will be under harsh scrutiny by the fan base. The status of Matthews definitely determines the future of the team for many years IMHO.

I really hope babcock does not go to cbj being both a wings fan and a jackets fan I know he can bring wins but the stuff hes done in the past is unacceptable and makes it tough for me to support a team that is willing to put somebody in a coach spot that's had such a negative effects on players
I bet a Houston-based group, led by Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta and Astros owner Jim Crane, would purchase the Senators for $1.1 billion and then relocate them to Houston for next season.

All I know is $20million+ needs to go elsewhere, that much cap space (which leafs do not have) would help out. Be it Marner, Matthews, Nylander, Tavares(yes he does have a No move, but he could wave it to the closest team near his home, which is all east coast teams near Toronto)

I don't know. Chicago has so many Good/Up And Coming Players, not to mention Andres Anthenesiu, a Veteran who did Good with Chicago last year.
Matthews if he gets traded he going to LA Kings plus Kings have the most to offer In a trade package. U can get Durzi, Kempe, Byfield , Clarke, Spence and Turcotte. Lots of good prospects & proven players to pick from.
