So you guys always talk Marner, so why not mention who replaces him? Who replaces his team leading points? If you’re mentioning trading Marner your vids useless if you don’t mention his replacement. Nylander will be moved because he’s up the same time as Mathews, and guess who gets all the money?
If leafs wanna rebuild you teade ALL of your pieces away and get as much as possible. Besides maybe Matthews but he could get the leafs a haul in return.

Leafs need to trade everyone
If they dont have complete confidence in the core to buy in to doing the little things you need to advance, they need to trade for picks or pieces to flesh out a fairly talented team and get them a coach.
Totally unrelated to this video, I never in my life thought I would be cheering for Dallas but it would be nice to see them win the cup. They are in tough though in their series. Great video as always Grav
Marner to Colorado for Byram, Girard and Lehkonen and 1st rd pick. Colorado needs a top winger because Landeskog is out for the season 2024. Nylander to LA Kings for Quintin Byfield and Durzi. We get 3 top 4 defenceman and winger and center back. Then we try to sign Tyler Bertuzzi in free agency. Resign Matthews.
1st line: Lehkonen, Matthews, Bertuzzi
2nd line: Byfield, JT, Knies
3 line: Acciari, Kampf, Jarnkrok
4 line: Lafferty, McMann, Roberson
1st pairing: Reilly, Durzi
2nd pairing: Brodie , Byram
3rd pairing: Girard, McCabe
4 pairing: Liljegren, Schenn

Trade any entitled players away. If they can't put the crest ahead of the ego, they need to go. That goes for Mathews too!
Marner is prbly my favorite player aftr Makar & MacKinnon but I say as a Leaf fan Mitch Marners trade value is at an all time high aftr being nominated for a Selke. He does play evry situation for the Leafs tho something to think about in what kind of return ur getting back
Lots of leaf fans are saying trade Marner, at least all the ones I have seen. And I know Nylander has a really good contract but he’s gonna want 9 million 9.5 million somewhere around that maybe… So you have to ask your self would you rather want Nylander making 9 million or more, or having Marner making 10.9 and using the other 9 million to fill out other places on the team… I don’t know I’m a habs fan but I’m trying to put my self in maple leaf fans shoes and think what I would want if I loved the leafs…. And to be honest because of the playoff performances of Nylander I say you keep Nylander and Trade Marner and try to get MULTIPLE! Players back because marner is to much into his own head it seems I feel like the pressure in the playoffs get to him.

So does Carolina trade all their top guys too when Bobrovsky shuts them down this series? Bobrovsky is having the best playoffs by a goalie since Marty Brodeur 20 years ago. Nobody can score on him right now.
As a non leafs fan i would say pre playoffs it was all "we just want to win a round", now its "we didnt win the cup".
I think that when you draft this is the type of team you hope to get so shipping a franchise player like Matthews or Marner for draft picks is stupid.
Also a lot of teams have to learn to win, this year is a step and i think the next couple makes the difference as having the first round monkey off the back this team should be trying to break the next ceiling.
But eitherway i think if shipping someone out is the way i would say it depends on what you can get back really.
Girard is 5'8 and a buck sixty. Makes $5M. NOT what this team needs by a long shot. Try harder you roomer guys

Anyone who thinks that Marner didn't show up for the playoffs needs to give their fucking head a shake. You obviously didn't watch any toronto playoff hockey this year, otherwise you would have seen that Marner was the only one out there who was working his ass off every shift. Nylander had some good moments too. But then you have Matthews out there who was just out there floating around and hoping for an easy shot on net. If anybody needs to go, it's Matthews. Trade him away for some toughness to insert into the top six. That's what needs to happen in order for toronto to make it further into the playoffs next year.
Yea that makes sense trade the 26 and 27 year old players in the prime of their career and keep the 32 year on the down side of his career…. if this happens I would say congrats to Toronto for continuing to make poor decisions.
I think nylande or marner r to Calgary is a better fit for Noah Hanafin and Lindholm plus picks and/or prospcts
Detroit has assets and space for Marner.
Marner will get to the next level in the playoffs with another team sadly. He is a top 15 player in the regular season its only a matter of time before he breaks through in playoffs.
Marner is not a playoff player. He's good at drawing penalties by flipping the puck over the glass in the dzone though

Girardi is a small d-man and in the playoffs would be useless against the Tkachuk brothers or anyone similar in style. Leafs already have Brodie and Rielly who can't clear the net, why add another guy.
Yzerman is a magician. Would not be surprised to see Detroit trade Husso, Perron(50% retained), Copp and Kubalik(50% retained) for Marner and Matt Murray. Toronto might also get a pretty good prospect or draft pick if they insist as well.
Marner to St. Louis for parayko, buchnevich, and this years 1st- 1 of the first 2 highest

As an Avs fan, I wouldn't say the Avs management see the Girard contract as a bad one. In fact, I think they think he is a great value at $5 million. There have been rumors for years about moving him but Sakic and MacFarland don't seem too eager to do so. But as a fan, if giving up Girard for Nylander is an option, I'm all for it!
