What’s Next For The Pittsburgh Penguins? 2023 NHL Off-Season Plan
How will the Pittsburgh Penguins attempt at moving forward and making their team more competitive in 2022-23?     Im still wondering til this day HOW the pens blew it against the hawks 😂😂😂. Feels sweeter we ended their playoff streak AND getting the #1 pick as the cherry on top lol

    If they are available come free agent I would like to see JONATHAN DROUIN and MAX DOMI would look nice on a 3rd line and maybe a long shot but if MICHAEL BUNTING hits free agent would really bring some sandpaper to the team

    If Penguins want Gibson they better pony up picks and a elite prospect cause from FA it looks slim especially in the goalie department.

    I agree 100% Mike!!!!
    The Pens only have to look in the mirror for an answer as to why they didn't make the playoffs. They had it right there to grab and they blew it.
    They were right to fire Burke and Hextall.
    Sullivan is a good coach and they should keep him.
    NOW THE BAD NEWS!!!!
    Their version of the "core 4" is the "core 3"…..Sid, Gino, and Letang…..while Sid is still a beast BUT the bottom line is they are TOO OLD!!! I feel their window for the cup has closed. With the aging "core 3" plus a mediocre support staff (excluding Geuntzel) they will have to really retool this team to be competitive even for a playoff spot.
    -weak in the pipes!!!!
    -weak on "D".
    -Gino too injury prone.

    All said & done…..the Pens will need a major retool just to be competitive and I feel they need too many pieces to swing the pendulum in their favour.

    How many times have we heard the name John Gibson and trade talks I hope he stays with the Anaheim ducks during the rebuild. We could use a good goalie to help the younger players. Such as build up their confidence.

    Pens are like swiss cheese right now, holes all over the place. Hextall really inflicted a lot of damage within a short timeframe. New GM (Dubas?) has a heavy mess to clean up, and won't happen overnight. Can see the Pens sliding down to .500 hockey, and being well out of the playoffs next season. This has been predicted by many for the Pens last 2-3 years, but they surprised. Feels like this coming downturn is too strong to shore up quickly. Long season for Pen's fans.

    I expect Dubas go there…
    I dont think no matter what he does they make playoffs its going to be hard in east exapecially whoever gets hellebuyck/gibson they will be stacked goalie wise compared to west.
