DEFINITELY. If Marner can be shipped for Hellebuyck 1:1, the Leafs must do it.
I thought this is about the Leafs not about Bob and Florida
The goaltending has not been the problem in the playoffs. They didn’t lose because of Samsonov or Woll or even Campbell last year. How is Hellebuyck going to help the top players deliver when its needed?
Goaltending isn't the issue
I am sort of warry of trading for Hellebuyck because he is 31 and the Leafs would lose one of Woll or Samsonov who are cheaper and I view them as less likely to be injured do to their ages. Hellebuyck is a career .916 goalie. Samsonov is career 908 but was 9.19 with the Leafs. Woll is .924 but the sample size is small. I don't see enough benefit to justify the trade.
