Gotta see if the new pieces on the D line work, gotta solve the punting issue, and gotta really buckle down and acquire a linebacker
They have no salary cap space so a 'big splash' acquisition is out of the question. Subtraction have to be 1st, for financial reasons. Then for below-expected performance or age / declining skill. Relationship with the coach's philosophy a distant 3rd. My fearless predictions to be moved – Hayes, DeAngelo, Provy, Sandstrom, Deslauriers, Allison, Lazcarski. Maybe even Sanhiem & Risto. With injury uncertainty a major factor – would somebody take a 'flyer' on either Couts or Atkinson on LTIR ? I see Tippett, TK, Laughton, Cates, Frost, Farabee, Hart, Errson, York, & Seeler ( only God knows why other than the coach LOVES him ) as the only locks to be here. A long list of opportunities for AHL'ers Attard, Zamula, Foerster, Desnoyers, Andre, & Lycksell. Gauthier & Kaplan show promise in college, but they, & this year's pick may take a couple more years to develop.
