Hi Matt I never understood the hardest man in England statement as there are hard men in every area but they don't meet and some are just hardworking men. Alot of the hard men in my area who where similar to Brian ( a bit wild ) all seemed to die young unfortunately. I had a couple men in my family but they didn't do drugs and weren't criminals as such. So many different types of hardmen. Psychos, cool calm and collected hard men who would rather not fight but pushed to it they would batter you.
Elbow strikes to the guard might be effective but puts you within grabbing range . Personally i would’ve pointed behind him and hoped he looked the ran like fuck in the other direction
Brian looses all respect in my opinion, he was capable of fighting like a man so why bite ears off etc.. different if multiple men attacking you and fighting for life but that's not what happened with Dave
People don't like to admit that in his day he was one of the toughest guys in the country if someone who is 24st a fit strong 24st gets hold of you its game over

All I remember about the geezer, was that documentary, I gotta say, me and my mates thought he came across a joke, just a typical juiced up bodybuilder, bully boy, in my youth, i came across a few people, very similar to him, very few bodybuilder's could have a row.
Big strong fella tough on the streets I imagine but to big a half decent heavy weight would give him a punching but I don't know him so it's just my opinion in a one on one to much muscle mass he would gass out
