Honestly. You would be hard pressed to find anyone as good as Freddie for his price tag.

When he is healthy he is clearly a top 10 goalie in the league.

I would be very surprised if we dont keep him.

  2. FortunateFault

It’s not the worst idea to have him back to ease Kochetkov into a full time NHL role.

I.like it but also need to be cautious

I would love a Freddie and kooch duo. I’d like a rantta and kooch duo. With of these works. But we’ll see how the cap works. Both could command raises we wouldn’t do

He says that until he asks for the house come negotiating time.

Honestly after the performance he put up in playoffs this year, I think he’s worth keeping.

Until Chicago or Columbus offers him 7.5 x5

  8. If we go this route, we just got to get a top tier AHL/NHL goalie for our 3rd goalie.

I think if I’m done I’m cool w his current AAV. So as long as he’s cool with a 1 year deal to prepare for the off-season from hell in 2024 then let’s run it back. As cost effective and “nice on paper” as it sounds a 1-2 of raanta and kooch isn’t good enough to win a cup

I think it’s time to move on. He’s way too injury prone. Downvote me.

Well, this is a great conundrum to have. I’m glad I don’t have to make this decision. I’d keep both and Kooch just because of injuries

  12. Re-sign Freddie and Fast and I would, once again, “like our group” pretty well

  13. HearingtheMinotaur

It feels good having him say this.

I’m not sure about the cap situation and how having 3 excellent goalies impacts it, but goal tending was not what held us back, it was the offense. Focus on getting some scorers and keep the core Intact. This team can win a cup with one or two more pieces.

    Or…and hear me out…we don’t.

Don’t get me wrong, I love healthy Freddy and he played stellar these playoffs, but you can’t look past all of the injuries and the subpar season he had. He’s just not reliable enough.

Idk depends on the contract. If money is used on a forward it may price ourselves out of Freddie. I wouldn’t be terribly upset with antti and pyotr combo next season

its tough for me to imagine another lineup right now. I really think we owe a lot to the coaching staff for goalies when they come here. But how do we make room for Koochie?

Freddie was a fucking hero in the playoffs
