The Future of the Winnipeg Jets

The Winnipeg Jets have been a relevant team since moving from Atlanta. Since their trip to the conference finals in 2018, it feels like the Jets have already reached their full potential. With many key free agents in the next few season, their should be big changes coming in Winnipeg. I completely agree. Been saying it for the last few months. I don’t see Scheifs, Helly, or Wheeler resigning. If they let them walk they’ll get nothing for it. I can only imagine snagging a 3rd at most for wheeler. Scheifs and Helly trades would command huge returns.

It’s the difference between 1-3 years of sucking and maybe 5-8 years of sucking. I’d have more respect for Chevy if he did get rid of them.

I liked what all 3 of them did for the team. They did the best they could do. They wanted to win. Their best just wasn’t good enough.

Had they have won a Stanley cup, I could see all 3 sticking around, but since all 3 have never won a cup, I foresee them following the footsteps of many great players who left a team to try and win a cup before they retired.
