The panthers arnt playing insane, bob is. They really had no right winning the last 2 games but bob is going sicko mode

Remember, they are paying Bob a ton of money for this kind of goaltending.
It was expected that the Canes would come out swinging in GM2. I was impressed with the way FL handled it just down 1-0 after a flurry of shots and a 20 to 4 shot advantage in the first period.
What else can you say about Bob. The man has turned into Neo from The Matrix. Obviously, Carolina played good enough to win this game and outplayed FL for portions of the game. But these two teams are very similar. They lock you down on defense and wear you out on the boards. This team is as resilient as any team that I've ever seen in recent memory.
Going into this series, i waa saying to my friend, if we want to make out of this to the finals, Tkachuk and Barkov are going to have to lead the way with goals, and they definitely stepped up. No words for Bob, just a man on a mission.

Just over 1 week ago, a bunch of Hurricane commentators were talking a bunch of how they were a lock ti win the Cup.
They just beat NJ, handily.
The Oilers were out.
Boston and Toronto were out.
The fact that the Panthers knocked both out wasn't that much of a conversation piece.
Can Carolina beat the Panthers? Sure.
Will the Panthers let Carolina beat them? Well… that's an entirely different question, is it?
In the Hurricane, Devils series, after the Hurricanes pounded the Devils the 1st 2 games in Carolina, they lost to a desperate Devils team in NJ, before cruising again the next 2.
This is different. They lost both in OT at home. Does anyone else think if Carolina doesn't show up for game 3, that the series is over?
Full disclosure, I am a Devils fan, but saw them get similarly pounded by Florida in a late reg season in Florida – became a fan b/c Florida's work ethic and don't quit attitude.
Also became a fan of Carolina for the same reasons – they are simply a different level of hockey team than the Devils are in the playoffs.
But Carolina's commentary sounded a lot like that of the Rangers pre-Devils series. "We're unbeatable." We saw how that turned out.
I'm thinking that if Carolina falls back on "Bobrosky"" is unbeatable ", they will lose. If they keep thinking that they simply deserve to win the series, they will lose.
If they play as if they have nothing else to lose, they have a chance. They have had their chances against Bobrosky, they just have to finish them. Close doesn't help. Carolina is doing everything else. Just adjust the mindset, the players who were all over the Devils need to show up and score, and they have a chance to come back.
Otherwise, its over.
More like the goaltender is on another level. Everyone else just hangs in there until there is a chance the score which they been capitalizing on. There goalie is carry them. They been out played since the 1st round
I’ve said it before and Ill say it now, Sergei Bobrovsky has been playing like he is Vladislav Tretiak. You either drive right through him into the net, or you sit in a corner and cry about it because he has been unbelievable

I think it's safe to say that the Panthers are basically unbeatable at this point. They're the 2nd Coming of the 2012 Kings.
The play style the panthers are using at lest it all i am able to see seem like they are swarming as a 5 man group around their net cutting out carolina so with out power plays or disrupting this defense wall i don't think carolina will get a win.

Ekblad, Barkov, Bennett, Chuck have also been monsters on the defensive end. Chucky laying out to break up that fast break was instrumental to this games victory. Bob has been a monster but it’s the guys infront of him setting him up for success also.

In game one, they mentioned that Carolina was undefeated at home this post-season. Then, in game 2 , they mentioned that Carolina hadn't lost a game 2 these playoffs!!!! Can we stop with the stats, please !!!! You're killing the Canes, man ! Lol .
Refs keep taking away goals yet the panthers STILL win . This team has overcome everything. All they need is the crown.

As a carolina fan, the goals are nice, but as a guy who was IN PERSON. These refs are paid off, if you go back and watch wide view of the game the amount of off play penelty calls not being made, is absurd and the call they do make is the hooking where the guy is running over our tendy. They punched our captain in the face mid play for God's sake. Show me hate as you will, I may be on the copium but I was in person is it was BS.
They are catching a lot of breaks. That tends to end as quickly as it persists unexpectedly. Last night you had a situation in OT where a veteran defenseman got his skates tangled with the stick of the other defenseman, on a power play, in OT. What they hell were they thinking? So scratch two defensemen, now it's 5 on 2, and boom easy goal. That's just luck. Nevertheless, fun to watch, go Panthers!

1:10 He deserves the nic name ROBbrovsky after robbing canes from that goal. 🤯 he's the reason Panthers didn't get eliminated in round 1. This is the best Panthers team in their franchise history.
Unfortunately they don't play hockey, they wish they were in a wrestling/boxing/anything but hockey match. They are the worst hockey team I have ever watched!
I'm not a fan of either team, but I'll say this, it's extremely difficult to beat a team despite being the 8th seed and 🔥 in the playoffs.

Everyone needs to show up for the playoffs. Most teams only a few players show up. Look at Edmonton only 3 players showed up. Kane Hopkins Hyman Nurse and Skinner were absolutely useless. To win a Stanley Cup more then 2 people need to be able to score and the goalie has to be one of your best.
They’re my favorite team rn. I just love the story with them. They fight to even make it to the dance, and then their first opponents in the playoffs are the big bad Bruins coming off the greatest regular season in NHL history. It looks like they aren’t gonna even make it out of the first round after going down 3-1, but then Brick Wall Bob enters. They go on to rip a 3 game winning streak and embarrass the Bruins. They knock the Bruins out in round 1. They then go on to absolutely trounce the Leafs and now are fighting in a close bout with the Canes with the aspirations of the first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
They were being outshot 15-1. Don’t get carried away
