  1. we must overcome adversity without the cry for reprisals or unfairness in officiating.
    that is the habs way…
we take it,and use it as motivation to win.
this is nothing new….to say the league is biased towards the habs is a very old argument.
the expression is: dont get mad get even
these things happen,it is not like last year orthe year before.
    mb is prepared with depth.
a disadvantage could lead to an advantage.
now poehling gets to sho if he belongs, and we just got bigger…
this is just a piece of the puzzle on the road to a cup.
motivation to not take dumb penalties,or revenge a bad call.

  2. I just still can't believe it….what freakin message does it send to the league?

"Hey, are you losing by a 3+ score and 2 minutes is left to the game? Lucky you! Here's an opportunity for you! You can freely headhunt a defensless "hot" player! Why? Well not only do you take out a valuable asset to an opponent's team you'll meet again many times soon, you'll only get a meaningless 5 min penalty that actually last 2 minutes in a game you already lost. Not convinced yet!? You won't even have an hearing or be suspended!!! What a great deal! But hey, remember, we care about our players. We WaNt To ElImInAtE hItS tO tHe HeAd" – the NHL

Side effect: May lead to more violence and dirty hit on you or innocent talented teammates, but hey, who cares!?

  3. Shame on you nhl. Instead of protecting your own people you
support and accept dangerous violence in a hockey rink. Money can not replace health and what is lost in these too frequent cases supported by your irresponsibility and stupidity can never be regained. The nhl way to fight head injuries?

  4. Dude I can’t believe the NHL did suspend him. In military hockey tournaments/leagues if you get a game misconduct in the 2nd half of the game it’s an automatic 1 game suspension minimum. It should be the same in the NHL. Players would think twice before issuing dirty hits like that. NHL is fucked!

  5. Totally agree with you man. The NHL wants to crack down on those hits well that's a lot of BS. I wonder who will get hurt tonight on account of the NHL's inadequacy in punishing severely those kinds of CHEAP HITS that result in severe injuries? IMO a 5min penalty for a hit to the head should get a minimum of a 1 game suspension.

  6. that is why having a goon running the discipline does not work… Myers is also a repeat offender…. Armia is out with a concussion and NHL says it does not show intent I call BS as he rose his elbow into his head… this has to stop as they have to protect the players… just proving they do not care about player safety

  7. I want Corey Perry and Anderson to go after Myers tonight. This cannot be tolerated. Let's see how the league reacts when their inability to do their job affects games.

  8. You would think that NHL would, after settling the suit downplaying the effects of concussion and suing 8 insurance companies for not ponying up, they would have the DOPS take a more aggressive stance in dealing out punishment. The DOP(e)S do a pretty good job in their video (https://www.nhl.com/video/myers-check-deemed-legal/t-277440360/c-7300731) of selling their reason for no suspension, but if they were truly interested in player's safety, they could done reasoned away justification for a 2 game suspension. In the video they talk about rule 48 and it's subsections and insist Myers first made contact with Armia's core. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't your core the midsection (the meeting of your upper and lower torso)? With Armia slightly bent over, the 6'7" Myers would have had to have been on his knees to hit Joel in the core. Instead, he hits the upper chest and shoulder only a nanosecond before making contact with the head. Some say he didn't leave his feet, while this is true in the complete sense, Myers does raise up throughout the hit and finishes it while on the tip of one of his skate blades (the other is off the ice). If the DOP(e)S is going to blame the wording of the rule for not being able to dish supplemental discipline, then the rule needs to be re-worded. Maybe they should have a Director that actually believes (and played like he did- former Selke winners maybe) in player safety, not former players like Parros and Pronger, who played like player safety was the least of their concerns on the ice. Rant done…go about enjoying the rest of your day! GHG!

  9. Typical… but hey just another galvanizing moment to bring the Habs together even more.

If Meyers doesn’t accept a fight in the first few shifts, this game could turn really ugly, penalties, injuries and if Montreal lays a “Meyers like hit on a Canuck” we can look forward to a Hab getting suspended.

I’m a Canucks fan as well as Hab fan, but what Meyers did was garbage. Probably still upset he gave the puck over to Kk for Armia’s 2nd…

I hope he gets his bell rung by Edmundson, Anderson or whoever else decides.

    Rockem’ Sockem’

  10. Its against montreal, Thats y he wasn't suspended.
The fact Tyler has 11mins in Penalties and was a problem throughout the game,
Armia was injured on the play, and Tyler has previous suspension history, ALREADY this should b 1 game!
Head and upper chest was hit at the SAME time at best, and This was a COMPLETELY AVOIDABLE Hit! Armia doesn't twist or move the location of his head into a more dangerous area!?
That fact Montreal's next game is against the Canucks again, just shows the utter disrespect the player's safety league and especially George Perros has for Montreal.
Tyler Myers may be targeted in the next game and will continue with dangerous hits. It will be the league's fault for not suspending him at least this 1 game.
