    Could be a perfect stop-gap until Perfetti is ready to jump in too. Maybe Perfetti will need another year or won't be ready for a 2C role as a rookie, but it could work out pretty nicely

    Stastny was great in Vegas.. he loved it here don’t know why you think he needs a change of scenery it’s literally been 2 years and he was vegas’ best player PPG wise last year.

    Any way you slice this- Winnipeg got absolutely fleeced.

    Vegas has 12.25 in goalies with no takers on there original franchise goalie. Why sign lehner? Donno but he’ll be bought out- I guarantee that.

    Anything more than a 7th was too much to give for a 3.5m player being paid 6.5m coming from a team that has no other option but to get rid of him.

    This is one of the best moves for Winnipeg! Stastny were a great center for the second line and Laine did love him! So he will be a great deal!

    Honestly, if the Jets shore up more of their blue line, they are going to be deadly. Winnipeg could be contenders next season.

    I like Chevy but I’m disappointed in him with this move, he could’ve had Stastny without bending over to help Vegas, they were desperate to get rid of this contract. Besides 6.5 being an overpay for Stastny at this point, he should’ve made Vegas retain part of the salary or add a prospect or pick themselves. Chevy practically did everything Vegas wanted. Wonder when GMs around the league will stop bending over to help Vegas. Geez!

    With or without Laine they needed centerman, let's hope he is still the same player he was couple years back
