If I 100% knew he was only playing like 20-30 games and was mostly pressbox fodder, I wouldn’t be angry at him being a Flame. BUT given that isn’t assured, I’d much, much rather move on

As long as he doesn’t enroach on the minutes that should be given out to young players like Pelletier, Coronato, or Phillips, I’m all game. I just don’t want to see him taking away opportunities from young guns like them.

He has signed 4 contracts worth a total value of $74,800,000. Only 34 but getting slower while the league is getting faster. I doubt anyone has room for him on their roster. I like the guy too but man that 230 + lbs will call for super short shifts and limited back checking.

I’d take him back at league minimum in a heartbeat as a 13th Forward, if he’s ok being in and out of the lineup for the future I think he’d be worth it on leadership in the room alone. And call me old school but if your gonna have a lot of young guys in the lineup it’s nice to have a guy like Looch around to beat the shit outta people that fuck with the kids lol
