I’m starting to come around to thinking we HAVE to draft this kid if he’s there at 5. It’s a gamble but it always is in the draft. Still hoping someone else takes him earlier though.

The whole they let other guys come over is a little bit misleading when most came between 24-27 and not 21. Kuzmenko is the perfect example (that he used) of what can happen where he comes over and is a ufa after 1 season.

Totally unrelated but I gotta give a shout out to Anthony Martineau.
People always shit on TVA sports (rightfully so, and myself included) but Anthony always works his ass off to release some quality content whether it’s just a short series of tweets about specific prospects, a full article or a full video and interview.
His work is great and he brings a different perspective on every article he does.

I mean, he’s talking to Canadian outlet, what is he going to say?! He’s good, top talent in the draft and he’d be a steal at 5. If there’s attitude problems, they won’t say it, etc. It all comes down to, is he likely to come in 3 years or not. If the answer is likely yes, then he will not be available to us in which case we pick what’s left. If the answer is no, then he will be available and we’ll see what happens. Nothing new here.
