People understand something. Bettman HATES Canadian teams in the playoffs, conversely he LOVES expansion teams cause he's trying to grow the market in certain parts of the states where people don't give a shit about hockey. Anything to help those expansion teams advance and build a fanbase is what he's going for. If this means the refs help slant the ice in favor of an expansion team then that's what you'll see. This will always continue with Bettman in charge. He's had enough time to appoint people with similar views throughout the league.
He definitely should've played that differently!? Should've just tried to make a play on the puck cuz there really was no way he could hit him legally from the angle he took!? He should've just tried to poke puck away or try to pin guy against boards….only way he could've made a hit would've been to change angle but really the way they were both going he couldn't really have done anything to be able to make a legal check!?

This is why skilled teams as New Jersey and Toronto never will win the Standley Cup. It’s night and day between regular season and playoffs, sad to call this hockey.

You forgot to add that he also left his feet. That makes it an intent to injure suspension, but it won't happen.
