  1. It's funny how the perception of what we need changes with time. I remember when we had Matt Martin and the argument was we should be focusing on speed and skill – forget grit, power, and hits. Now Martin is with the Isles and we have spent the last few years talking about how the Leafs lack what Martin offered us in spades. It definitely seems like Ritchie offers more than Martin in terms of being a more complete player, but I definitely think we need some ruggedness coupled with some skill. I think this was a good signing.

  2. Like how there's fans saying Dubas should get someone bigger. Who can score. Who can hit. Who can play defense. Who is a sure bet. Etc. Who doesn't mind losing a ton of money signing for less. Who doesn't mind having more taxes taken out.

  3. In the Ritche signing the leafs get some well needed grit and toughness which is what the leafs are lacking

  4. What's your thoughts, do you think Reilly will walk for nothing at the end of the season? I half expected them to trade him before the season for a fantastic return.
Having guys walk for nothing gets my goat!

  5. Hey Andrew, really enjoy your channel, your a regular hockey guy with great knowledge and explanations, your like one of the guys. Great Job.

  6. Great moves by the leafs now trade mikhahev engvall and kerfoot for some draft picks open the cap a little bit and were set

  7. Bro stop talking about u having a fken fulltime job noone cares …jesus…do what u do and what got u subs ..shit sorry but its annoying

  8. Ritchie is too slow to play top 6. He takes dumb penalties, and refuses to backcheck. Most of his goals were on the 1st unit power play. Once they took him off it, his production nose dived. Since leafs suck on the PK, the honeymoon with Ritchie could end quickly. What I do like is the physical presence he brings. 2.5M is too much, but what's done is done. Hopefully I'm wrong about this guy. I like the Bunting and Kase signings a lot better.

  9. Ritchie with JT and Nylander,, about time that lines gets some love ❤️ and ice time and stick Bunting with Mathews and Marner and balance the minutes not play Mickey Mouse Marner 24 minutes a game.. stupid

  10. Like the moves they’re making. Would love to see them add Tatar as well for 1.5-2m on a 1 year “prove it” deal to add another middle 6 forward who can play offensive or defensive and keep adding to that element and create more depth. Can easily be done by reading Engvall or Mikheyev or both and still have room to add at the deadline.

  11. The fact that he was a soo greyhound…..means… he was a soo greyhound, so avoid it if you want… but that is not just another coincidence. And, kerfoot is still above most of the guys they've recently signed on the depth chart, so i can't see him being moved…

  12. I don't see how this team can compete with so many bargain basement forwards. There's a reason they come so cheap. The top forwards will end up playing too many minutes.

  13. I honestly think with all the recent signings that it makes both Engvall and Mikheyev expendable.. make a trade to get a couple picks and build those up again, could come in handy at the trade deadline to acquire another player if needed or throw a late draft pick to a team to get that 50% salary retention like they did last season… in terms of Ho-Sang, I wouldn't hold out on that.. PTO's for the Leafs haven't faired too well and although Ho-Sang is a good player his biggest issue is between his ears.. he has a spoiled attitude and hopefully he can grow up and develop a better locker room attitude but hard to say.. I watched him when he was with the Windsor Spitfires and he's a good, fast player but hard to say.. talent only gets you so far..

  14. Call him 3rd line depth all you want, but who plays left wing on the top 2 lines then? I suspect he is seeing a lot of time beside either Tavares or Matthews

  15. without an NHL Stanley cup Goalie the leafs will remain close to their present position, if not worse, in my opinion!

  16. If Ritchie can stay out of the penalty box, which he couldn't do with Boston, he'll be effective, leafs needed a power forward and Ritchie is that type of player at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds, he likes to hit and punish his opponents. Also like the Button signing, he will most likely play with Matthews and Marner.

  17. I’m not gonna lie they make a couple moves I’m excited about, hopefully things pull together nicely because the last playoff run left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth

  18. Leafs could sign Wayne Gretzky and Bobby Orr from a time machine and still manage to blow it come playoff time.

  19. Working and making videos…..great job ….thanks for shows. I really appreciate them even more.
