It’s crazy how he still wants to be here even after all the vitriol he faced here, including being booed at home. He deserves better than this fanbase. He gave it his all every night, killed penalties, and took hits to make plays. All things that would endear him to normal fans, but unfortunately he was turned into a scapegoat because he had the nerve to be less than amazing

I know he’s a big RHD, but the Leafs have Lilli, Timmins, and Schenn if he extends. Plus Hirvonen and Niemla are gonna start pushing very soon and I don’t want the have Holl on a long term contract blocking their path onto the team due to being lower on the depth chart

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but Holl played some solid hockey mid-season when half the team was injured, and probably could have continued to be a great contributor as 7D and occasional 3rd pairing. The problem is/was Keefe, who thinks Holl is Jesus on ice skates and relies on him way too much.
$2M AAV? Heck no. League min? Sure.
