  1. Be a shame if we lose Bear somehow, that speed and a right shot is a glaring weakness in our Organization. I know we need more size, but look at said Stetcher and Burroughs.

  2. Benn put up 78 points. Yes he's got a big contract but he's still a productive player. OEL is not. They are not comparable.

  3. I am a bit of a masochist when it comes to the Canucks. I want to see the team burn and rise form the ashes. I want Petey to leave, Quinn, Demko, all of them, they wont win here and they are wasting their prime years here. I want this team sold, that what I see as the root of the problem. Then and only then will I change my mind… well if they starting winning before then I'll eat crow but, do we see that happening anytime soon? I doubt this team will be even close to competing for a cup before 2030, and even then I don't have high expectations.

  4. This contingency of trade demands is exactly why I hated hated hated the Hronek trade (ie the loss of 2 top 45 draft choices) and the pointless winning at the end of the season. Both EP40 and Q. Hughes who spent a good amount of the months of April and May watching his kid brothers play and play well on a young and exciting team, must have really been irked by another playoffs missed. If they go we should have had 3 good young prospects in the pipeline now we have 1 unless they trade that too.

  5. I don’t think Silovs should be the trade chip. I think give it 1 more year, to see if Demko becomes the trade chip. Silovs will be so much cheaper going forward over the next 5 years or so.

  6. Petterson leaving not happy here thats why they signed jt miller was signed longer Petterson will go to seattle or san jose or anehiem

  7. trade silovs? who would you get for him that is as good at their position as he is at his? you wouldn't because you would have to get a top line forward or a top pairing defencman back. his defencemen at the IIHF championships were making defensive gaffs all game, every game. and he baled them out. reminded me of demko and the canucks. i don't think johnston has placed a high enough value on him.

  8. Benn has 2 years left and is productive while OEL has 4 years left and is a shell of his former self. Management can only hope he bounces back and raises his trade value.

  9. More disparaging words for "this organisation" from Sekeres. I don't know if he's mentally conflating "this organisation" with the previous Benning regime, but it does appear to be the case at a psychological level. In any case, the ambiguity is a bit exasperating. Anyway, this story is the reason that I've never understood all the tanking talk. More ambiguity.
