Owen Power (#22) is an exceptional in-game manager for the Michigan Wolverines who deals with pressure by consistently out-thinking opponents of all sizes and speeds. He’s a powerful skater who attacks openings with confidence but is agile enough to change direction or cut back and allow support to join the play.
Through Feb. 18, Power was leading all freshman defensemen in scoring with 13 points (3 goals, 10 assists) in 18 games. Eight of his 10 helpers were primary (five at 5v5) and three were involved in goals that gave Michigan the lead.

I really don't see anything that really jumps out at me here.. dont know about 1st overall lol
Once his size is negated at the pro level I'm not sure he has the tools to dominate. His stride isn't as smooth as say Jake Sanderson (top D pick last year) and I'm always wary of big men who don't throw it around much.
Tyler Myers is a good comparable imo though Myers is probably a better skater.
Doesn't seem like an intense player… plays the puck more than he does the man. Other than that, looks like smart two way guy like Seth Jones or Jay Bouwmeester or Dougie Hamilton.
I most certainly don't see a Chris Pronger or Viktor Hedman here – I just detect a huge gap in intensity. Hope I'm wrong, but I'd consider this guy a "regular season" defenseman.
He seems to have a very high hockey iq and is a great 2 way player and of course he is big but he’s just so bad at skating. I would say he has a ceiling of Aaron Ekblad and a floor of Tyler Myers
Shout out to all the youtube scouts who clearly no jack shit.
Welcome to buffalo
His size and shot is about all I see better than Luke Hughes, I'm not sure he's the best defenseman in the draft.
