Brodin is by far our best true D. Phenomenal skater and his ability to shut down top lines is a testament to something being in the water in Sweden. He should be Faber’s mentor and another player like EK that 31 other teams would love to have on their perspective clubs. I don’t expect him to score, if he does it’s a bonus.
Grade because of what he means to the D core is an A-. During the season when Dumba was struggling early, Brodin was covering the entire sheet of ice with his mistakes / turnovers. At 6 million a year, he’s a steal and just a great player, ask McDavid what his thoughts are on 25. I think the record against Edmonton is something like 22-4…..Lastly, he will be intricately involved in developing the kids, O’Rourke, Hunt, Peart, Lambos, a Spacek, Faber who looks to be a lookalike player. By far the best true D to wear Wild green and ranks up there with Craig Hartsburg going all the way back.
