  1. i think sandin pelikka is the best long term player in terms of skill, but reinbacher will fit more for vancouver. but i don't think the value of Reinbacher is worth at 11, rather trade down to like 16-20 and trade some cap and maybe pick Willander and if Reinbacher is available we could pick him. But i'd really like to see Sandin Pelikka on a 2nd pair as the quarterback.

  2. Is it just me or am I the only person who doesn’t like any defenseman in this draft, any of them taken inside the top 12-13 for me is a reach.

I can have a discussion with axel but even still I think the forwards are way to good not to take

  3. Your ideas are BANG ON! I have Reinbacher at #5 overall and ASP at #7. Different teams will value them differently, but due to the lack of top D in this draft, these are the only 2 I see as "potentially" top pairing guys, at worst… 2nd pairing D.

  4. There are alot of good forwards in this draft some that sre almost too good to pass up (Leonard, Wood, Dvorski, Sale). Its eitither gonna be one of these 2 D men will be there at 11th or someone who will fall to the Canucks lap.

  5. If we get Reinbacher we’re setttttt he is exactly what we need but there like 30% chance there at 11 but we still have options of Dvorsky and Barlow that 11th pick is a money pick if we trade down highly gonna regret it

  6. So since there is a lot of Vancouver fans here what are your thoughts of moving the 11th pick to my hawks? For a package that looks something like 19, 44, 51, RFA rights to Ian Mitchell and prospect Phillips(LHD will be a 3rd pairing Dman for sure maybe a 2nd pair). For 11, Garland, and Pearson? We get a better pick while moving out a player that needs a fresh start and a prospect that gets moved out because we are loaded at LHD and you guys get a lot of cap space, additional picks, and some young dmen. Thoughts?

  7. Both of them are not suppose to be in the top 10, but because someone could say we need to get the best D and not the best player available, we might have a surprise. I would give the edge to Reinbacher.

  8. Hughes/Sandin Pellika on the first unit power play could be something, or first and second units could divvy up the PP time more evenly.

Imho, drafting the best player available is the way.

  9. You have to admit Yzerman and the Wings make some surprising draft picks. The Red Wings could use a right handed defenseman at pick no. nine. So the Red Wings may make the choice simple, Whomever they don't take, might be the defenseman for the Canucks. The Red Wings could really load up on defensemen.. I can remember some Stanley Cup winning teams that were loaded on defense.

  10. Our biggest need is at RD and at C so I'm guessing we'll draft a winger. Call me bitter, but we've done the right thing a handful of times in 53 years.

  11. Honestly I really can’t say until we see where Hronek plays , if you say the other is a Seider type than ideally him to pair with Quinn but if Hronek fills that spot I think the smaller offensive Swede could be a really good option to play with OEL

  12. I so want Yzerman is draft Pellikka, but he never drafts who I think he should which is a good thing because his choice is always better.
