We’ve All Been Waiting For This || Sydney Mclaughlin VS. Femke Bol – 400 Meter Hurdles

Note – At 0:25 – we wrote that Sydney ran a time of 41.46 in 2022, which would be amazing but that time at least at the moment is completely impossible. That time should have been written as 51.46 seconds – thanks for understanding.

Nobody has been able to beat Sydney McLaughlin over the previous 2 seasons. Is 2023 the year when that changes?
Thanks to Horta Sorta for the footage!

  1. Talk is talk. Any given Sunday is the motto. Lets all just be happy to see the main event in 2023. By the way Ryan Garcia was not yet ready to challenge Tank nor Canelo vs Mayweather. Given few more years, it would have been an even fighting field. Buts thats so hard to ever match up.

  2. Sydney's God Jesus… Runs with her all the time… It would be anybody's guess who could ever beat her..

  3. Until Femke goes under 51 it's not even a debate. I watched, in person, Sydney run that sub 51 WC race. It was incredible.

And don't forget about Delilah. If she comes back from injury it's would be epic.

  4. As great as Femke is, for 2023 no one will touch Sydney unless something happens to drop her level of fitness!

  5. Take a video about this , The world is now ruled by one community of people, the world Satanic elite, you can also call them the committee to meet the Antichrist and prevent the 2nd coming of Jesus, Trump called them the deep state, at the moment it consists of about 10,000 people, the main ones there are Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Windsors, Baruchs, they, their ancestors, descendants and other people who enter there have the mark of Lucifer, which, if they bring the antichrist and do not allow the 2nd coming, they will receive eternal life after the x hour, and the rest of humanity, for all the time that they have lived, they won't get anything, so all people should know about the existence of a world government (Jesus who was a The Prophet of God, not God.God will send Jesus as a reward to humanity, if humanity deserves it, for this it is necessary to fight Lucifer and his elite)

  6. If Bol would switch trainers, specifically get into Kersey's doping program like Mclaughlin then she could really close the gap.

  7. Ok here me out Mclauglin v Mu v Bol v Wilson in the Women's 400 meter finals at the 2024 Olympics in Paris

  8. Hurdles are unlocked a fear of falling when I was in middle school. Breaking world hurdling records is very impressive.

  9. This post didn’t sit 100% well with me. Y’all acting like Dalilah Muhammad hasn’t been dominating this event for years before Sydney and Femke stepped on the seen. She created this new way the women’s 400m hurdles is ran today. Y’all better respect this queen. Shoutout to Sydney and Femke for giving us such amazing performances. Dalilah ran so they can fly!

  10. The U.S.A. Women are going to have a wicked 4 x 400 relay team with powerhouse sprinters and hurdlers. But, why did you neglect to include Dalilah Muhammad in this reel? She is amazing in the 400 hurdles and the 400m and was instrumental when the U.S.A. Women won the Gold in the 2020 Olympics. She is an amazing athlete and she deserves a shout-out. With Allyson Felix retired, the 4 x 400 will have to replace her, and Sydney, Dalilah, Athing, and Britton Wilson will be a powerful team. And I can't wait to see the 4 x 400 mixed relay, that team will be hard to stack when deciding who will compete…it's going to be crazy! All of the U.S.A. relay teams are fantastic! For the women 4 x 100, I see Sha'Carrie Richardson, Abby Steiner, Jenna Prandini, T.T. Terry or Melissa Jefferson, Gabby Thomas or Aleia Hobbs. I don't even know who the young ladies are coming up from the collegiate level in Women's Track and Field, but I know they are going to be fierce.

One thing is for sure in the U.S.A. Men's Track and Feld Team, Matthew Boling will be on the relay teams, the 4 x 100, Fred Curly, Christian Coleman, Noah: Lyles, and Matthew Boling are my picks for the finals lineup! But wait, there are the new kids on the block, Joseph Fahnbulleh, Erriyon Knighton, Trayvon Bromell, and all of those moving up from colleges and universities. It is going to be GREAT!

  11. Minor point that the all time list had 41. On #3… I didn’t see all the comments. Maybe already mentioned.

  12. Even if Femke got TWO seconds faster than this, she'd lose by a half second to Sydney. Femke should be looking over her shoulder to Britton, especially in the open 400. I don't se Syd letting up in anything. She'll be dominant for another six years at least if she wants to.

  13. Bols main event in 400m flat tho, She is just THAT good that she also has a go at the hurldes with no technique. Mclaughlin is trained by Bobby Kersey? No? The same Bobby Kersey who was tied up in his wifes and sister in laws Drugs scandal?. Its also suspicious to everyone else that all these fast times that the Americans run are done in the US, Where are they running these fast times overseas? Bol runs all over world. Also doubling up requires schedule changing . Its like when the Great Michael Johnson won 200m and 400m gold in Atlanta. YES it was a great achievement no doubt BUT there was a reason why it hadnt been done before. For previous Olympics the heats and finals where on the same day as eachother . For Atlanta they changed it specifically for that attempt . Eric Lidell won Gold and Bronze with the same day schedule , Which is truly better?

  14. It’s crazy to me that people think Bol could beat Sydney. She’s literally in a class of her own and every time she has raced she’s got faster and faster to the point that she thinking about changing events because there’s no competition.

  15. I want to see an Injustice-like comic based around the flash. Think about it: he is basically unstoppable. The comics make it look like he slides on ice from a freeze ray but we see him able to comprehend things at light speed. He could stop any crime moments after it starts. No hero or villain could stop him, not even Superman. He has his op infinite mass punch, he can time travel, think infinitely fast, and even vibrate through things/people to take out important life needing organs. I’d like to see how a truly realized flash with specific motives would be written and how that world would look.

  16. None of us have been waiting for you to talk about something maybe might happen in the future. Show the race in the title or its just clickbait.

  17. Bring out your champion Europe and we will bring out ours and they will do battle.

  18. Very different people and styles taking place now than in the past.

  19. These two are deliberately dodging each other. I’d be stunned if they ever appear in the same race in 2023. With this dodge, they get to run against weaker competition and continue to make money. So a head to head is bad business and unlikely.

  20. Fastest time in the world this year! Oh yeah, Sydney hasn't competed in that event this year yet. Oh, and Bol's fastest time of the year is 4 seconds slower than what Sydney was running last year. Nice try at building hype, but unless Sydney has slowed way down this year, it's not even close.

  21. You talk too much. YT is a visual medium. Show the highlights. We can see what happens with our eyes

  22. 16 years old Sydney ran her 4×400 split in 49.5 ! At 17, she ran 400 flat in 50.07 in the rain. She would be 4th at the Worlds with this time. How much can she make today at 23?

  23. I would love to see McLaughlin run the open 400, 400 hurdles, and the 4×400 relay at the next Olympics Games.
