  1. It was a dumpster fire of a game from the leafs perspective … It was a suspendable play, 3 games, see you in game 5 Bunting ….hopefully Knies plays so well you can't get back into the line up 😮

  2. 1 game that's it!! He has never been suspended!! Absolute bullshit! The reffing is a joke this year!!

  3. Overall this whole scenario ends up benefiting the leafs. Cernak is out and there's a good chance Knies ends up playing better than Bunting anyway

  4. Again over kill on bunting and toronto , watching the nhl is a joke , there is no consistency , im done with this circus

  5. Does anyone think the 3 games may be because of the nature of the hit.. It was a revenge hit. Cernak had a good clean hit on him just before he did that. So take the retaliation, his response to doing it acting like he was the victim, and it was 2 infractions in one. Illegal check to the head plus interference. 3 games was justified.

  6. Claude Lemiuex got two games for almost killing Kris Draper. So spare me about how bad of a hit this was

  7. I have a concussion history, and sometimes it takes me years to be myself again 3 games is nothing 🤔

  8. 3 is too many games. If this was the regular season 3 is fair but in playoffs? Last year it took breaking someone's jaw to be suspended 3 games.

  9. This working out in Leafs favor as Knies is way better than Bunting.

  10. Maple Leaf tax. Not the first time a 1st offender has been nailed to the wall. Complete BS….phantoms calls, horse crap referring!

  11. Most of the injury likely came from hitting ice, not the hit itself. He did not hit him hard and by NHL “standard” of discipline show me a “comparable” hit and suspension for 3 games. I would rather have Knies than Bunting in the lineup. He deserved maybe a 1 game suspension. I have seen far, far worse and it seems like Leafs are getting longer suspensions for some reason, like the ridiculous Matthews suspension.

  12. Leafs should promote Knies. The team is an embarrassment! The overpaid 4 were invisible. Marner was a ghost. Mathews is the same performer he was in past playoffs, a nothing burger.
Nylander floated and Tavares can't keep up. Out in four would be the best so that a shakeup will happen.

  13. I think Cooper was telling the league my guy has a concussion by getting out that he was out for game 2. If he is concussed he won't be able to play, realistically, until next Wednesday at the earliest. I think they didn't want Bunting back on the ice before Cernak.

  14. For head shots – other players received a suspension for the series. So this is fair. Not playing Bunting helps the Leafs – so Tampa should get the decision – they probably wanted Bunting playing without a suspension – is my guess?

  15. Sure, the NHL Department of Saftey is inconsistent. But this was a 3-gam suspension no doubt. If this was a hit by a Tampa player on a Leaf's player you all would have been saying "good, it deserves to be 3-games"

  16. How does Bunting get 3 games and Nosek gets nothing? Not even a phone call. Can someone explain it to me?

  17. What garbage? Sorry but how is no one commenting that bunting was not looking and therefore did not hit his head intentionally. Plus I will argue that cernak took a dive.

  18. Question? Game 2 Maroon near the end of the game takes a run at Nylander with the internation to hurt him I believe that the league should be looking at that.

  19. The fact that a player is hurt should never count in the number of games suspended. They could have gone in there with a previous problem. That wasn't a particularly hard hit. They were skating the same direction. It looked like he just bumped him to get space. He had his elbow down and Cernak had his head fairly low. Should have been 2 for interference and nothing more. I'm not even a Leafs fan, I just think the league's refereeing and suspension system is a disgrace and has been for a while..

  20. I'm not really worried about this.

I don't get how Maroon cross checking Gio to back of neck while he was on ground isn't worth a suspension or even a misconduct though. That's a really dangerous play.

  21. I think people are failing to realize the player never had the puck. It wasnt a late hit, he never had the puck to begin with, and then he launched into the head.
