I agree this deal is a clear win for the Wild
This is a great deal for the Wild!
More trades I love it!
Joe Sakic making moves baby

VUR.FYI
Not crazy of a deal Jost is a second line centre/winger at best
Jost is a solid player great trade
Great trade for the Wild
Jost is nowhere near a top 6 forward for a playoff team. Sakic keeps getting bigger by trimming salary, I love it.
Great video Young guns hopefully more trades to come
Willem Dafoe ahahahaahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha… Decent trade
I've become a Jost supporter in recent years… but make no mistake, he's been in the League a decent amount of time now. He even got some run on the top line last year with injuries. Sorry to say, but he might be mis-cast as a top 6 forward. He has talent and ability, but the finish is not consistent at all. His biggest strength is that he HAS already developed a defensive game. One of the best defensive forward lines last season included him and Val Nichushkin. He has developed and adapted his game to be better in the defensive zone.
We'll see if he can step it up offensively. I find it surprising as an Avs fan to hear you guys talk about putting him between Fiala and Boldy. Those are some real talented and established (kinda) offensive forwards. Jost has gotta reach a whole new level that we haven't even seen possible with his tenure in Colorado.
Good luck to the guy. He's a fantastic person off the ice, and a tryhard (in the good way) on the ice.
I like the return for CO. Sturm brings the size and defensive consistency the Avs need for their penalty kill. I'm not upset about any perceived discrepencies
Aves won the trade. Nico is bigger, wins way more face offs, and has room to improve, and is much cheaper. Jost, smaller guy, less points, and doesn't win faceoffs…
Minnesota needs a goalie
Sturm is big but doesn't play a heavy playoff type game. Win for the Wild
jost has a 39.3 fow% domi has a 50% this year
A lot of people saying clear win for the wild but I think both teams got exactly what they were looking for. Jost needed to move, was just not working out, and the avs get a guy who is playing better this year and much cheaper
Sturm won. He will likely hoist the cup. Just will be golfing by game six of first round of playoffs
After going to the Wild Bruins game last night and seeing Jost centering the fourth line…I believe Sturm is a better role player. Jost was okay. He competes but is tiny. They he’s 5 11 but there’s no way..he looked small and the Wild are already small. Guess we will see. Avs fans are going like Sturms compete level.
Jost gets knocks off the puck way too much. He had 6 years to showcase those skills all these Wild fans keep boasting about, but he has never amounted to anything more than a 4th liner. Wild fans are just hoping he's better than he actually is.
