How is Connor only the 97th percentile for offence?

The numbers say keep Foegele. I agree.

Foegele should be kept
Otherwise it tells us what we pretty much knew
Ceci was our worst defenseman, our forwards aren’t contributing enough defensively(shout out to Kane and Hyman for being especially disappointing)

I don’t know how Defensive Percentile is calculated, but I do know that I really don’t like our #1 Dman, who was also the 9th highest paid player in the league last year, being in the bottom half of it. That penalty differential needs to drastically improve too.

I don’t envy the position that Ceci has gotten in, especially after the trade deadline when the Ekholm-Barrie deal happened.
On the right side, he went from being sandwiched between two offensive defensemen, to two defensemen with a little over 200 NHL games combined.
It’s a lot of responsibility to give to the lone vet making average second pair money. You’d really have to be an exceptional defensemen to take the burden off Bouchard and Desharnais.
Realistically, a cheap 6th or 7th RD like Luke Schenn or Erik Johnson would be a nice get to round out that group.
