God help me with this franchise
To not even interview Patrick Roy is curious. Although, like Hynes, he doesn't fit either category that people are looking for.
You'd think the Rangers would be one of those teams that sets the trends rather than follow them…and yet Laviolette is apparently the "#1 guy".
In looking at Roy's record, you make the same mistake almost everyone does. If you look at the points, you realize that two OT losses count the same as one win and one loss – so the loss record isn't as large, and the win record is a bit bigger – making his overall record better than you give him credit for.
If the Rangers don't give Knoblauch the job some other team is going to snap him up and he will leave the organization and we will have wasted a great opportunity.
