They may not be rebuilding but if thats the case they better get a very good return on the players they trade, and chevy also needs to be more aggressive at the deadline

I'll keep saying it. Find a FA Center who can adequately run 2nd line and you can make your moves without touching Hellebuyck.

We just want change, thats it. This team has been astonishingly predictable for the past half decade and the fans aren't even remotely enthused about this team anymore
During any Jets playoff years teams that came out of the West to win the cup have come through Winnipeg going back to Jets 1.0 …

If they're losing helly, it's time to get a few of the younger forward prospects 8nto the mix and shore up the defence(and probably a centre) through trades
The best comparison for a Helle deal in last year is Debrincat, anything less then a higher 1st round pick and a A+ prospect or a Mercer type player is a fail, if we want to re tool dont think we can rely on just players need the draft capital we can always use those in deals for other players
I spoke with Josh Norrissey in person yesterday and he stated EMPHATICALLY that he believes in the team and players and the Team DOES NOT WANT A REBUILD!
The Jets have to either extend or trade the big 3. They cannot wait and see and "hope" they re-sign. Wheeler's contract and value do not align so moving him will get very little without significant salary retention. As much as they need talent back they need "culture" players to set the tone in the locker room going forward. O'Reilly would be a great FA grab but I believe they would have to WAY overpay to get him. PLD has been telling them for a while that he wants out with words and actions. 55 is part of the problem in the locker room and simply doesn't get it. Helle is amazing but I don't think will extend so you have to move him before you get nothing in return. The Jets have been stuck in being OK for a while and need to change. I agree that TNSE operates from a position of fear of losing fans if they are not good but Winnipeg's fans are highly knowledgeable and respect blue collar work. If the team they put on the ice COMPETES every night the fans should remain loyal and respect a retool.

Be careful what you wish for (ie rebuild). If the Jets had scored in OT in Game 3 vs Knights we may have gone much further… Maybe all that's required is a little more toughness and character for the playoffs – as Florida has demonstrated..
