Im surprised montreal doesnt try a poison pill hostile offer, a la kotkaniemi for 1 yr, forcing winnipeg into a corner to either match and have winnipeg handcufffed and unable to trade him for a year, essentially locking him to winnipeg until UFA next year or let him go for a mediocre return of a 1st and 3rd round pick (6 million offer)

#80 has 5-6 teams he's willing to sign with long term. Jets will sign him for 8×9 mill, and trade him for the best offer. Dubois wants to get PAID or win a cup. Montreal doesn't want to pay, and is far from a cup.
