Matt Welsh is one of 4 goaltenders invited to Hockey Canada’s National Junior showcase camp which begins Sunday. The Halifax native and Charlottetown Islanders tender admits he was caught off guard by the invitation to the camp 3 weeks ago when GM Jim Hulton called… but he is prepared to compete with the 3 other NHL drafted goaltenders, Olivier Rodrigue (Drum), Michael DiPietro (Windsor) and Matthew Villalta (Soo Greyhounds).
