I’m all for making some exciting high upside picks. We can always get 3rd line grinders, but let’s actually get some finesse and some goal scorers.

There’s something about that swinging for the fences line he uses that I just love and I can’t really explain why. But I like his mindset of taking chances on some kids. Yeah, we’ll probably end up finding more Smiths than Parsnips, but it should be a fun ride. He’s a great interview, and I’m really looking forward to the Trotz era.

Trotz coming out with banger interviews one after another

Haven’t been this excited for the next Preds season since before “He who shall not be named” was hired, hoping we get back to that playoff success we had in the early 2010’s

    >But now we’re looking at getting difference makers up front. I mean, we’re Nashville. We’re in the entertainment industry, right?

Already love Trotz as a GM. Have no idea if he’s going to be any good but FFS it should be a fun next few years as we wait to find out.

This off-season has been an absolute blast already. Poile was known for running a VERY tight ship when it came to rumors and leaks. Trotz appears to be calling reporters directly because there’s new Nashville news seemingly daily about Predators trades, signings, etc.

I almost believe that it’s some weird Trotz thing to get fans engaged again. Poile ran a “no news is good news, bad news is bad news” type of organization, where he allegedly retaliated against journalists for saying negative things. Trotz seems to think that “all press is good press,” based on how much we’ve been in the news.

    >I came in right before the trade deadline and was asked my opinion. Obviously, the trade deadline, you saw what we did. We decided to reach our goal, we had to take a step back if we want to win a Stanley Cup. It’s hard to win if you’re in the mushy middle and that’s where we were.

    Two interesting notes:

    1) He wants to rebuild.

    2) He had the ability to pull the trigger on Saros and didn’t.
