Severson is a sheer mystery to me, because on one hand his offensive potential is absolutely insane. He had some of the best underlying passing statstics among dmen, his shot is mind bogglingly good, he can roof it from 30 feet out without any effort and he can do it from anywhere on the ice, and he clearly has great control and IQ, but he simply doesn’t have an impact that puts him among the better defenders. One day he’s gonna break out, and he’s gonna shock everyone. I’m gonna be here for that.
