Leafs dont have any urgency to sign Matthews they just need to know the ballpark of the Aav so they know how they what they can spend on free agents and trades

If Matthews won't sign for under 10 million then trade him. His lust for money shows he cares more about that then the Leafs. It's time for gms to enforce boundaries on these entitled brats wanting money when they haven't proven anything. Personally I would rather have McDavid or Berdard. At least they're Canadian. I would also would rather have Patrick Kane then Marner.

The only player that’s due and increase based on NHL standards is Nylander..
Offer Matthews a 3% increase at most

I'd be happy with a big trade as long as we bring in some good grit, but to be fair, Tampa couldn't even make the playoffs with Stamkos added and ran it back as did Washington with Ovechkin. But I definitely don't believe in Matthews/Marner Tavares/Nylander Rielly making 50+ million with zero grit or gritty depth or room to add a top 4 rhd with grit.
Get rid of Keefe and get some new blood behind the bench. How many times have we seen this team start games like a bunch of beer leaguers 10 o'clock on a Friday night. Since they aren't going to get rid of the core 4, change what you can…the coach is the easiest thing you can do to shake things up.

Are you kidding … Matthew's is overrated… hes really not that good. He surely ain't even close a player that McDavid or Crosby are. Hes not worth the extra money and really hasn't earned it!
I am sick of Matthew's lack of leadership and lack of putting the team first. If he doesn't show his commitment and set an example by July 1, trade him!
