Why would any rookie be "guaranteed" to start?
Wow no talk about Rodrigo either? Lions don't play 3 LB's often.
I just wished Lions played with 3 linebackers on every play it makes it so much harder for teams to run on, but with the huge improvements to our secondary I'm alot happier running nickle now.
Just a heads up guys, this interview with Coach Shep is on the Lions page. You can hear it all there.
My take on it was that the room is VERY competitive this year and nobody’s guaranteed a starting role until they prove it. In summary I thought “wow what a great problem to have.”
It isn’t just about playing LBer, it is about playing LBer in the context of our defensive scheme. Learn your responsibilities first. Instinct only goes so far.
I really wish they didn’t sign Anzalone to such a big deal i like Barnes and Rodrigo and now we have 4 LB fighting for 3 spots but really 3 fighting for 2 bc they paid Anzalone so he will be playing
He is to slow and will always be beaten when it comes to coverage and open field tackles. Dude is a bust
Very, this isn't even a position of value in the 1st Rd. especially when DT is ur biggest need.
