When I saw a Tweet about Habs moving up to #2, a proposed offer was the #5 pick, the #31 pick, Calgary's #1 pick in 2025, Amber Xhejak, AND Sean Farrell. Others have said that Caufield MUST be part of the deal. I don't feel either deal is an option. If Michkov is really the 2nd best player this draft class, pick him at #5 (if he's still there).
I'd offer #5 + Hutson for Carlsson or Fantilli. There is no deal to be made for #4. IF the sharks want Michkov, they will take him regardless and we get to take Smith. IF they don't want Michkov…it would cost as Much as getting the #2 #3 and that price may be too high for Smith.
